Sale DEC08A Lot 1125
Pair of carved stone and pierced hexagonal bases. diameter 42,
Reputedly made up from architectural stonework from the Palace of Westminster. It is known that prominent political figures of the day including Sir Robert Peel were given statues and architectural fixtures.
Provenance: removed from a private residence in Guildford Surrey. The family remember this as having been in situ for very many years. h:26 in.
